Did You Set Out To Become an Author as Your Main Profession?
I didn't. I worked with small children for 10 years before my first book was published. 3 years later, I was finally able to move into writing full-time.
Which Authors Have Inspired You The Most?
Jude Deveraux's Velvet Angel was the first romance book I ever read. It began my love for romance. I credit her with inspiring me.
Tell Us About Your Book.
Sated is about a woman named Arbor who, after a night with a sexy rocker, believes she's losing her mind. Time starts slipping away from her, entire buildings go missing, and several other things turn her life into a nightmare.
Left with nowhere to turn, Arbor seeks the help of a local police detective in charge of satanic ritual for the New Orleans area. Instead of finding answers, Arbor's confusion grows until she can longer tell the difference between dreams and reality.
What Is Your Favorite Part of This Book, and Why Do You Think Readers Will Enjoy It?
There's a part where Arbor goes to a bonfire party and spends the evening with two men, learning about their past and talking about hers. It's heartwarming and funny. I think it will touch readers.
Where Do You See Self-Publishing Going In The Future?
I think self-publishing is here to stay. As more and more traditional authors make the switch, indies are going to have to step up their game to stay competitive.
