Why Did You Choose to Selfpublish Instead of Taking The Traditional Route?
I've worked with a few publishers and debated what to do with a new series called Chateau Seductions. I liked the control I could have over all parts of the publication, but found the learning curve daunting. After finding some good resources, I decided to try self-publishing it.
Tell Us About Something You've Written.
I'd finished Dark Stranger, the last part of the Chateau Seductions trilogy, and readers asked for more.
One of the characters they wanted more of was Antoine, who appears in all three stories. I touched on his backstory in the books.
With Darkness Rising, I went back to the time before he came to the Chateau. He finally has the chance to tell his story and readers can get a closer look at the gargoyle turned vampire, enamored with the young poet who arrives at the castle.
What Is Your Favorite Part of This Book, and Why Do You Think Readers Will Enjoy It?
Antoine's torment when he wakes into darkness is key, I think. Also, I love having his POV of meeting Savannah, which is the counterpart of hers in Dark Velvet.
Who Designed Your Cover Art?
Since I knew exactly what I wanted with the castle, gargoyle, and characters for the covers, I designed the covers for all the books in this series.
