Why Did You Choose to Selfpublish Instead of Taking The Traditional Route?
The traditional route was enough to make start banging my head on a wall. When I got frustrated enough, I started writing erotica and erotic romance, which was what the majority of ebook sites were ten years ago.
I submitted to a publisher called Extasy (still in business) the Siren (also still in business, then Selena Kitt's Excessica. When sites like Amazon and B&N started welcoming authors, I started submitting directly to them.
Did You Set Out To Become an Author as Your Main Profession?
No, I started writing as a hobby in 2003. Good thing too, because the great recession caused my 35 year business to fail and I started writing full time.
Which Authors Have Inspired You The Most? Clancy, Koontz, King, Weis/Hickman, F.P. Wilson, Grisham, Connelly, Hiassan, Clark, Herbert and a few more
Tell Us About Something You've Written.
EEK! I'm a Woman is your basic body/mind swap story (Freaky Friday) with a lot more added.
What Is Your Favorite Part of This Book, and Why Do You Think Readers Will Enjoy It?
Readers do enjoy it. It's funny and very sexy. At least the erotic version is sexy. There is a straight romance version called Manhattan Miracle. There are two sets of main characters, the H&H who get mind swapped and two angels who cause it.
Where Do You See Self-Publishing Going In The Future?
Right now it's truly in flux. The big boys better get their act together or it won't pay for authors to write.
Who Designed Your Cover Art?
I did EEK! and one of my authors who is also a talented cover artist made Manhattan Miracle.
If you're wondering what I mean by one of my authors, I should tell you that I have a small publishing company called New Dawning Bookfair. We currently have eighteen authors besides me.
